OUR 2008 FLEET OF RENTAL BIKES
Following on from the success of our rental fleets in the previous 5 years we have again chosen Orange Mountain Bikes to supply our bikes.
We really like the Orange 5 it's a great 'do everything' bike for our style of riding. In 2007 though Orange have tweaked the 5 to produce a 5.5 or Alpine 5, and once again we will have a couple of these exclusive frames to put through their paces during the summer. Steve Wade says that the bike is "a cross between the 5 and the Patriot with a more relaxed head angle but with the shorter rear and pivot position of the 5. 140mm travel, it rides up like a 5 and down like a shorter travel Patriot." It sounds perfect and they look pretty good too.

We also have one Sub Zero hartail freeride bike equipped with a Rohloff 14 speed internally geared rear hub - an end to rear mech bashing?
If you feel you need something a bit beefier then just let us know and we can give you details of the bikes available locally.
What Orange say about the 5
In a class of its own, the Orange Five is the All-Mountain trail burner that everyone wants in their shed. There’s hardly a day when pulling a Five out of the rack wouldn’t make sense. Built with the same mind-set that created the 224 and the Patriot, the Five is built to handle itself on the toughest terrain. Built light to skittle up climbs like a mountain goat, yet robust enough to descend with the sure-footed confidence of a much heavier bike.
What Orange say about the Sub Zero
The SubZero brings you high adventure with a difference. It's become a cult favourite with those in the know. Once you realise that this is a ‘stand up’ freeride bike, the fun really starts to kick in. By riding the big fork and letting the hardtail float beneath you, you’ll find that the front wheel tracking the ground brings an enormous amount of control. In no time you'll be flying down trails that you never would have looked at on a hardtail, let alone at the speed that the SubZero allows.
