BASIC RENTAL CONDITIONS

Hirers are responsible for all damage to or loss of the bike during the period of hire up to the replacement cost of the bike if stolen (general wear and tear is excluded e.g. brake pads, tyre wear.) Please note that our bikes are not insured whilst out of our locked chalet garages.

A deposit (credit card number and signature of authorisation) is required for all bike hire. A passport and advance cash payment for the full rental will be taken if the hirer does not have a credit card.

Hirers are responsible for their own safety whilst riding the bike hired to them by endlessride. We advise that a helmet and protective clothing are worn at all times. Although every care is taken to ensure that the bike is in full working order, parts are liable to malfunction at any time.

Full terms and conditions are available on request.

OUR 2008 FLEET OF RENTAL BIKES

Following on from the success of our rental fleets in the previous 5 years we have again chosen Orange Mountain Bikes to supply our bikes.

We really like the Orange 5 it's a great 'do everything' bike for our style of riding. In 2007 though Orange have tweaked the 5 to produce a 5.5 or Alpine 5, and once again we will have a couple of these exclusive frames to put through their paces during the summer. Steve Wade says that the bike is "a cross between the 5 and the Patriot with a more relaxed head angle but with the shorter rear and pivot position of the 5. 140mm travel, it rides up like a 5 and down like a shorter travel Patriot." It sounds perfect and they look pretty good too.

We also have one Sub Zero hartail freeride bike equipped with a Rohloff 14 speed internally geared rear hub - an end to rear mech bashing?

If you feel you need something a bit beefier then just let us know and we can give you details of the bikes available locally.

What Orange say about the 5

In a class of its own, the Orange Five is the All-Mountain trail burner that everyone wants in their shed. There’s hardly a day when pulling a Five out of the rack wouldn’t make sense. Built with the same mind-set that created the 224 and the Patriot, the Five is built to handle itself on the toughest terrain. Built light to skittle up climbs like a mountain goat, yet robust enough to descend with the sure-footed confidence of a much heavier bike.

What Orange say about the Sub Zero

The SubZero brings you high adventure with a difference. It's become a cult favourite with those in the know. Once you realise that this is a ‘stand up’ freeride bike, the fun really starts to kick in. By riding the big fork and letting the hardtail float beneath you, you’ll find that the front wheel tracking the ground brings an enormous amount of control. In no time you'll be flying down trails that you never would have looked at on a hardtail, let alone at the speed that the SubZero allows.

BRINGING YOUR OWN BIKE

Many people are worried that if they bring their own bike it will go missing or get damaged during the flight. In our time of operating in Morzine just one guest's bike has been damaged in transit. A well packed bike should travel without incident, click the link to find out more about packing your bike.

If you do bring your own bike please ensure that it is in good working order before you arrive. A weeks solid riding in this area can be equivalent to a years riding at home in terms of wear and tear on the parts of your bike.

major trail side bike repairs are never fun

Replace your brake blocks/pads and bring at least one spare pair - especially for disc brakes. Make sure your tyres have a good amount of tread left on them, in the space of the week you'll encounter dry, dusty, rocky, rooty, wet, muddy and even snowy trails.

Look at your forks and shock, how long have you had them, when were they last serviced? A seized fork or shock can really spoil your holiday. A broken gear hanger will be just as annoying, consider bringing a spare with you as you won't get a replacement in resort.

If your bike has any unusual parts consider bringing spares with you. We stock a range of spares suitable for our bikes (so mainly Shimano and Hope bits) and there is a limited range of bits in resort but some things can be impossible to get hold of.

If something does go wrong while you are with us our mechanics will endeavour to fix the problem for you. We'd prefer that you were out riding than sat sunbathing at the chalet!

Please feel free to call and ask us if you have an concerns about bringing your own bike.
